We are headed to Glenwood Springs, Colorado to spend a week relaxing and installing new entrance steps on the RV. Monticello, Utah is our one night stopover.
There is plentiful BLM land near Monticello, but we found a local city/county park which did not prohibit camping. At least nobody came by and asked us to leave. It was on beautiful Lloyds Lake. We found a spot in a parking area overlooking the lake with the mountains as a backdrop.
We took a relaxing walk on a hiking/biking trail which surrounded the lake and connected to other trails which led off into the foothills. It would be a great place to spend a few days exploring.
Lloyds Lake provided a quiet and safe place to overnight on our way to Colorado.
